Presentation of the CAREN by Robrecht BAUWENS on November 26th 2009 in Courtai at the occasion of the first meeting of legal professions of the Eurometropolis.

On November 17th 2009, conference on the CAREN Arbitration by Bernard LEBAS before the REB: 86 participants.

On January 20th 2009, a conference on “The alternative methods of dispute settlement”, mediation, conciliation and arbitration was held within the framework of the meetings “Law and Finance” at the Hotel Mercure in Marcq-en-Baroeul.

On October 20th 2008, at the invitation of President NACRY, the Batonnier LEBAS introduced arbitration and the CAREN to the Committee of LILLE PLACE TERTIAIRE.

On May 22nd 2008, a presentation of the CAREN took place over breakfast, at 8AM at the Franco-Belgian Chamber of Commerce.

The speakers were Mr Bruno CARPENTIER, lawyer, Mr Olivier ROUCOU, representative of the  Regional Company of Auditors and the Batonnier LEBAS.

On Tuesday, February 19th 2008 the Batonnier LEBAS and Mr TACK were received by the President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry Wallonie Picarde, Mr Roby VAN DAELE, in the presence of the Batonnier Edward VANDAELE, Mr Michel DUMORTIER, representative of the CCI Wallonie Picarde in the CAREN, and Mr Jean MINOT, General Consul of France.

On June 21st 2004, a debate took place over breakfast at the Sofitel in Marc-en-Baroeul in order to raise the awareness of economic and legal circles on arbitration.

On Monday, December 13rd 2004, we welcomed Mr Mahammed Nakhira Al Dhaheri, Federal Minister of Justice, Islamic Affairs and Awqafcomme  of the United Arab Emirates, accompanied by a delegation of about 10 men, high-ranking officialsin Justice and a translator.

These people told us of their wish to establish an arbitration court in their country, and wanted the CAREN to inform them of the means implemented.

The delegation was welcomed in the “Salle des Séances” (Meetings Room) of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Lille by the members of the CAREN as well as by members of the Chamber of Commerce, of the Bar, and of the Judicial Authority.
