The CAREN is an international arbitration institution established in Lille by law experts following the impetus of economic and legal circles. Belgium, Italian, German, English, Dutch, Spanish, Portuguese and French personalities and organisations are taking part to it.

It mainly performs arbitration, meaning one of the alternative dispute resolution (A.D.R) processes without resorting to State courts.

The CAREN organises and supervises arbitrations but is also working on conciliating parties through an agreement in the arbitration.
