CAREN
is an international Court of arbitration set up at Lille by
legal specialists under pressure of business community (see
History). Belgian, British, Dutch,
German, Italian, Portuguese and French organisations or individuals
are associated (see Who with ?).
CAREN
provides arbitration and/or mediation, two means of Alternative
Disputes Resolution.

Arbitration
Arbitration is a mean of resolution
of disputes where the parties may choose their own judges
(arbitrators) or request that an organisation, such as CAREN,
does so on their behalf.

Mediation c
A mediator, chosen by the parties
or by CAREN, plays an
active role to find an amicable solution to a conflict.Concerning mediation CAREN
has competence for disputes of a commercial nature.
